CC News 8/1/12 - Challenge, features, and update!

Hello, everyone! August has come around; that means it's time to go back to school, shoving all of our crafting supplies in a box somewhere, only to gather dust in a lowly closet

WAIT. NO IT DOESN'T! It means that yes, while it's back to school for some, and everyone's probably working, we can still craft our little needle-felted hearts out! Besides, I'm pretty sure all your craft box can't fit in one box; if it does, you're probably doing it wrong

July Challenge Features
We gave you a task, and you rose to it! A lot of people submitted to last month's challenge, which was to use an old piece of jewelry in your work. Here are the warriors that rose to meet this challenge:

This Month's Challenge
Bottles! You can smash them, you can melt them, you can paint them, you can fill them, you can wire wrap them, you can use them as a paper mache base! The possibilities are endless! Here are some examples:

Reminder
We did make an adjustment to our rules last month. We will now be allowing works made with items found in nature. Please submit to the folder "Repurposed Nature Items"
